Alberto Palatchi returns to bridal fashion

The son of the creator of PRONOVIAS has created a new brand that bears his name.

He grew up among wedding dresses and learned from the inside how his father had created a wedding empire called Pronovias. That's why when Alberto Palatchi She had to present a business idea to the master's program she was taking in Fontainebleau, near Paris, two years ago. "It always ended up in the bridal world, which she had very fond memories of." So she decided to put the idea into practice and asked her father for advice, because "he's the man who knows more than anyone in this field." And he gave his approval.

Just a year ago he created the brand with his name, Alberto Palatchi. The team consisted of four people who had to compete to officially present the brand, in conjunction with the celebration of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2025, which attracts buyers from all over the world. "Perhaps at first buyers were attracted by my last name," he recalls. Palatchi, "but they had no obligation to purchase, and in just three days we made half a million euros in sales. I knew I'd found the right path.".

A path that led him to strengthen the distribution service of his brand: «The speed of delivery is a differentiating factor, more than the design of the clothes», he explains. Alberto Palatchi, whose potential customers are the brides of the Generation Z, "Those who go to the store with their cell phones in hand and want to look elegant and understated on their wedding day," she emphasizes. She already has nearly 150 stores and currently offers only dresses, no accessories, "because I'm a supporter of simplification," she explains.

Alberto Palatchi He put all his enthusiasm into this new project, to which he set no limits, because "the last thing you can do when you start a business is isolate yourself," he states with conviction. When asked if he aspires to be like Pronovias, he answers bluntly: “Pronovias It was the product of a generation, and now the circumstances are different.”.

She denies that her father sold the company, founded by his grandfather in 1922 and a global leader in the wedding dress industry, six years ago because none of his three children wanted to continue the business: "It was a misjudgment. The truth is that my father was of a certain age and a good sales opportunity presented itself. He had the right to close out that phase of his life, and I was honestly too young to take over the helm of a company as large as Pronovias. However, now I'm enthusiastic about this new project I've created, which is a perfect fit for me.".
