The rising trend of fashion
It's the 1950s, and fashion is booming. And against this backdrop of corsets, crinolines, full skirts, wasp waists, pumps, stiletto heels, trains and lace, gloves, pearls, and veils, "Casa della Sposa" (Bride's House) was born in Salerno, the first atelier entirely dedicated to brides and their dreams. Young Milena Rega began working in 1970 as a sales assistant in a small sewing workshop not far from "Casa della Sposa." But her determination and ambition soon pushed her to take the plunge and pursue her dream: supported by her husband Giovanni Fierro, she opened a small wedding dress workshop. Thus began the flourishing period of the "small" tailoring business: more and more brides-to-be chose to entrust themselves to the creativity and precious hands of Milena and her "seamstresses." At the same time, the Fierro family also grew: Milena and Giovanni gave birth to the most important creations of their lives, their three children.
Story of a passion
The days spent in the tailor's shop designing, creating, sewing, and custom-modeling each gown for her brides increasingly made that small tailoring workshop a professional reality and a point of reference for every bride in the Salerno area. In 1985, a lifelong dream came true: the Fierros took over the "Casa della Sposa," which became the "Atelier Diva Sposa" in the most important location in Salerno's historic center, Piazza Portanova. The passion for fashion, creativity, imagination, and desire for innovation of "Atelier Diva Sposa" did not go unnoticed, and major national and international bridal fashion designers chose the atelier as a premium dealer for their gowns. Therefore, each bride has the opportunity not only to create a custom-made dress for the most important moment of her life, choosing fabrics, colors, accessories, and embroidery, but also to wear styles from the collections of the most fashionable brands of the moment, tailoring them to the curves of her body. Indeed, the underlying philosophy behind every dress is that "in the Atelier, the dress adapts to the bride, never the other way around.".
Success story
Thanks to the ability to customize your wedding dress, each piece becomes unique and one-of-a-kind, telling the story and dream of the woman who will wear it. Tailoring has become a strong point of the "Diva Sposa" atelier, which was awarded by the "Nicole Spose" brand in the "Best Nicole Real Bride" category at the 2017 Nicole Awards, as best bride in a Nicole dress. Not only that, designer Alessandra Rinaudo chose to entrust a future bride to the Diva Sposa atelier and guide her in choosing her dress in an episode of "Matrimonio all' Italiana" on "Detto Fatto," broadcast on the national television network RAI2. The atelier is increasingly strengthening its image, becoming a point of reference in the Campania region. But the desire to improve and grow never stops, and today, ’Atelier Diva Sposa“ has chosen to expand its horizons and realize another dream: that small salon in the center of Salerno in Piazza Portanova has grown and opened its doors upstairs to ”Atelier Diva Cerimonia,“ a symbol of elegance, innovation, and passion.
